Preference indicators quickly tell you which of the two records being viewed scored the highest during Preference evaluation. They are found in the top right corner of each pane, and will contain either a green check mark or a red 'X':

The record with the checkmark is the 'preferred' record. For a brief explanation of why the record is preferred (or not preferred), click on the corresponding preference indicator.
