RDA-Core

This tells us whether RDA says the data for the element is:

  • ENH: not core, but can be added if you think it useful
  • CORE: must be added if applicable and readily ascertainable (0.6.2)
  • COREbut: must be added, but only under specified circumstances (see the rule for details)
  • COREif: must be added, but only the first, or only … (see the rule for details)

LCPS-Core

This tells us whether LC PCC PS says the data for the element is:

  • ENH: not core, but can be added if you think it useful
  • CORE: must be added if applicable and readily ascertainable (0.6.2)
  • COREbut: must be added, but only under specified circumstances (see the rule for details)
  • COREif: must be added, but only the first, or only … (see the rule for details)

The LC PCC Policy Statements often have us add elements that RDA says are not core, because we need that data for library-specific purposes
